Tot Travels

Hi, we're the family behind Tot Travels.

Sydney-based new parents trying to make the world a little easier for tiny travellers.

Why we built this

We're a family of three — and as of early 2026, a frequently jet-lagged one. Our daughter Maya was born in our little apartment in Newtown, and within nine months she'd already been on four flights, two ferries, and exactly one panicked taxi ride to a Sanur clinic at 11pm.

That clinic trip is what started this. We'd taken Maya to Bali for what we thought would be a relaxed first overseas trip. We'd done our homework. We'd read the blogs. We'd searched "is Bali baby-friendly" a hundred times and gotten back a hundred listicles written by parents whose kids were five.

Half the attractions we'd booked turned out to be carrier-only with steep stairs. Two had no changing facilities. One — and this still makes us laugh — was a famous "family-friendly" beach with a riptide our hotel guide quietly mentioned only after we'd arrived. We came home with sand in everything, a deeply slept baby, and one persistent question:

Why isn't there a single, honest, structured place to find out whether a famous tourist attraction actually works for a baby?

What we're building

Tot Travels is the directory we wished we'd had. We're rating the world's most-visited tourist attractions specifically for children under three, scored on the five factors that genuinely matter when you're carrying a baby:

🚼 Stroller access  ·  👶 Diaper changing  ·  💨 Air quality  ·  ☀️ Weather exposure  ·  🍼 Milk & baby food
🛡️ Safety & crime  ·  🐒 Wildlife & strays  ·  🌐 Travel advisory  ·  🦟 Disease & mosquito risk  ·  🏥 Medical access

Every venue gets a clear Yes-or-Skip verdict in under ten seconds, so you can stop scrolling through 2,000-word blog posts and start booking with confidence.

Our mission

Travel makes parents better humans. It teaches babies to sleep anywhere, eat anything, and meet strangers without flinching. We don't think a family should have to choose between staying home and gambling on incomplete information.

We're starting with Bali, Sydney, and New Delhi. Over the next 18 months, we'll cover the world's hundred most-Googled tourist cities. Every rating is honest. Every attraction is scored against the same ten factors. And every parent who's been there can tell us where we got it wrong.

Garry

Founder & Head of Ratings, Tot Travels

Data tech lead by day, jet-lagged parent the rest of the time. Garry built Tot Travels after a late-night clinic run in Bali made it very clear that "baby-friendly" on most travel sites means nothing specific for an under-3. He researches and scores every attraction personally, cross-referencing on-the-ground reports with health data, government advisories, and fellow parents.
